Finals fever: Rams, Bombers, Kees and Demons eye premiership glory
From the first whistle at 8.30am to the last cup lifted, grand final day will showcase the best of HDFNL talent, tradition and pride.

For some, it’s vindication.
For others, it’s a shot at history.
For all, it’s the chance to turn a season’s hard work into premiership glory.
B grade: Rams’ redemption
Is this year's B-grade grand final a matter of third time lucky for the hosts?
Natimuk United’s B grade side has been a force in the competition in the past three years.
In the post-Covid era, the Rams are no strangers to playing in grand finals, having won 50 of their past 53 games.
While the league leaders are playing in their third decider in as many years, their two losses have come in the grand finals of 2023 and 2024.
Fortunately, the Rams enter this year’s grand final in peak form, with a perfect 17-0 record in 2025, including two wins against their opponents, Noradjuha Quantong.
Natimuk United are led by the grade’s leading goal scorer, Codi-Rae Fisher, who accumulated 486 goals at 70 per cent accuracy.
Fisher featured in just 14 games this season, averaging just below 35 goals per game.
At the other end of the court, the Bombers boast the grade’s second-best shooter, Yolanda Molineaux, who has 423 goals at 85 per cent accuracy and 23.5 goals per game.
Noradjuha Quantong arrive at the grand final in third place, with a commendable 12-4 record.
However, the Bombers reached the decider the long way, losing their qualifying final to Rupanyup before defeating defending premiers Kalkee and the Panthers in the preliminary final.
The Rams are unbeaten this season, but can they finally turn dominance into a premiership against Noradjuha Quantong, or will the Bombers snatch the cup away?
C grade: underdogs face off
The C grade grand final stands as a testament to the fact that regular season standings are secondary to a team's performance during the finals.
It’s Kalkee versus Noradjuha Quantong in the decider, two underdogs who’ve knocked off the top teams to earn their shot at glory.
Kalkee come into the game having defeated second-placed Harrow Balmoral, followed by first-placed Pimpinio, earning themselves a week off before Saturday’s big game.
The Bombers dispatched Edenhope Apsley, the Southern Roos and then the Tigers en route to the grand final.
The teams share a 1-1 record, with both sides having won on the road – first Noradjuha Quantong 33-35, and then the Kees 31-46.
While the Bombers will look to feed the ball to Alyssa Evans early (348 goals at 82 per cent, 19 goals per game), Kalkee’s front-court duo of Lilly Schorback (266 goals, 69 per cent, 15.6 per game) and Sophie Pietsch (242 goals, 82 per cent, 15.1 per game) have shared the load all year.
Can the Bombers ride their momentum, or will the Kees’ week off prove the difference?
C reserve
The sea of black and red will continue late into the afternoon as Noradjuha Quantong take on Laharum in the last netball game of the day.
The Bombers are no stranger to the grand final, with 2025 being their fourth straight grand final.
However, they last lifted the cup in 2022.
Furthermore, Charli Watts and the Demons stand in their way.
Laharum have lost only one game this season, a round three clash against Pimpinio.
Since then the Demons have had their way with the competition, ending the season with a percentage of 202 thanks to 745 goals across 16 games.
Watts has amassed almost 80 per cent of those goals with an impressive 549 during the regular season.
She comes into the grand final on the back of 34 goals against the Bombers during the semi-final, which Laharum won 42-37.
The Bombers are led by Emma Criddle, whose 495 goals (95 per cent accuracy at an average of 29 per game) should prove to be a contest to watch.
Can the Bombers break their grand final hoodoo, or will the Demons’ dominance continue?
Junior grades
Kalkee, runners-up in 2023 and 2024, will face newcomers Natimuk United in the under 17s grand final.
This marks the first time since 2019 that Pimpinio will not be featured in the decider.
The Kees come into the game at a perfect 14-0, including a win against the Rams in the qualifying final.
Natimuk United had to defeat Rupanyup twice in the finals to book a place in the grand final.
Can Kalkee finally claim the premiership or will the home-court advantage help the Rams over the line?
The Tigers will feature in the junior grand finals, with the under 15s playing in their third decider in four years.
While Pimpinio finished as minor premiers, they were defeated by Laharum in the semi-final.
The Tigers took down Harrow Balmoral in the preliminary final, giving themselves a chance to play the Demons one more time in 2025.
Pimpinio’s last under 15s premiership was in 2029; can they return to glory or will Laharum’s juniors experience jubilation on Saturday?
In the first match of the day, Natimuk United and Kalkee will face off from 8.30am.
While the young Kees are the defending premiers, the Rams boast the better record, including winning their qualifying final contest 31-32.
While Natimuk United had the week off, Kalkee upset minor premiers Rupanyup 24-27.
Can Kalkee go back-to-back or will Natimuk United’s stronger season record carry them to premiership glory?
